Green Groves was founded with the vision of promoting nature-based solutions (NBS) and biomass-based solutions for carbon capture and storage in the Middle East. To this end, various methods are used for microalgae production—from laboratories and photobioreactors to ponds and ponds.
Green Groves Environmental Services, KSA uses the NIROSTAR 2000-E and 2000-F pump models from ZUWA-Zumpe GmbH for the following applications:
- Circulation of microalgae to prevent algae from settling.
- Pumps for harvesting (43.8 m³/hour)
- Transfer pumps (18 m³/hour)
The pumps are used both for recirculation (at 25 l/min) and for harvesting microalgae (at full capacity) from algae ponds. Green Groves specifically chose ZUWA pumps because the flexible impeller does not exert shear stress on the algae.
