ZUWA submersible pumps are robust and versatile devices for pumping and conveying water, even if it is dirty or muddy.
With a free passage of up to 55 mm, they reliably handle sewage, groundwater, and dirty water.
To protect the pump, it can be placed in a basket or screen insert to keep larger particles out.
Functionality
ZUWA submersible pumps offer high delivery rates and a long service life and, depending on the model, can be controlled manually or via a float switch. Many models are operated completely in water, as they require the pumped medium for cooling. The robust pump housing and impeller are made of gray cast iron; stainless steel versions are available for liquids containing salt or chemicals.
Special ATEX-certified models are also available for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Tip: A stable, level surface prevents the pumps from sinking into mud and thus ensures reliable operation.
Examples of use
ZUWA submersible pumps are used in many areas:
- Emergencies: In the event of flooding, heavy rain, or high water, e.g., by the fire department, THW (Federal Agency for Technical Relief), or municipal institutions.
- Gardens & landscaping: For pumping water out of ponds, biotopes, or smaller bodies of water.
- Agriculture: For pumping surface water, spring water, well water, or rainwater.
Advantages
- Reliable even with heavily contaminated water
- High flow rate and durable materials
- Automatic or manual operation, depending on the model
- Robust construction made of gray cast iron or stainless steel
- Versatile – ideal for industry, agriculture, home, and garden
Variants
VORTEX – Dirtwater
Robust and solid cast iron pumps for dirty water, even with solid particles
Vortex pumps from Zuwa are particularly suitable for dirty water, even with solid particles.
Depending on the pump type, they can convey dirt particles up to a maximum size of 55 mm.
- Density of the liquid: max. 1100 kg/m³
- Liquid temperature max. 50 °C
- pH value: 6-11
VORTEX NIRO – Dirtwater
Stainless steel submersible pumps for aggressive media, even with solid particles
Vortex NIRO pumps are particularly suitable for aggressive wastewater from the chemical, pharmaceutical, and metalworking industries, as well as for seawater.
The submersible dirty water pump is made of stainless steel, making it particularly robust and corrosion-resistant.
- Density of the liquid: max. 1100 kg/m³
- Liquid temperature max. 50°C
- pH value: 3–14
VORTEX ATEX – Dirtwater
Submersible pump for use in potentially explosive atmospheres
Submersible dirty water pumps are used in biogas plants to remove condensate from the seepage shaft and return it to the fermenter. Since biogas plants contain explosion-proof areas, VORTEX dirty water pumps are approved for use in biogas plants and other potentially explosive areas in zones 1 and 2 in accordance with the requirements of the ATEX directives.
- Density of the liquid: max. 1100 kg/m³
- Liquid temperature max. 40 °C
- pH value: 6–11
SAND – Sandy dirtwater
SAND – Dirty water pump for dirty water with a high sand and solid content
The suction grille at the base allows the pump to be positioned at the bottom of a pond or hole in the ground, as stones and other solids cannot be sucked in by the pump. The SAND series is typically used for drainage in the construction sector, e.g., to drain water from foundations or ponds. Made from high-quality, durable materials.
- Maximum immersion depth: 5 m
- Maximum density of liquid: 1100 kg/m³
- Maximum liquid temperature: 40 °C
- pH value: 6-10
- Protection class: IP68
SAND P – Lightweight dirty water pump for dirty water containing sand and gravel as well as light sludge
Suitable for a wide range of drainage tasks in construction, industry, and municipal applications, as well as for flood protection. The SAND P 215 and 315 models are also available in a 230-volt AC version and can be used where no three-phase power connection is available.
- Immersion depth up to 10 m
- Fluid temperature max. 40 °C
- Protection class IP68
- Thermal motor protection
- No minimum immersion depth (slurping operation possible)
- Easy adjustment of the outlet direction
SAND SPT – Dirty water pump for sandy/gravelly dirty water with light sludge
The SPT series is an extremely robust submersible dirty water pump for the toughest applications in construction, mining, industry, municipal services, and agriculture. In these pumps, the medium cools the motor, enabling dry running.
- Immersion depth up to 50 m
- Fluid temperature max. 40 °C
- Protection class IP68
- Thermal motor protection
- No minimum immersion depth (slurping operation possible)
SAND SPT-R – Dirty water pump with agitator for dirty water containing sand and gravel, sludge, silt, drilling emulsion, and bentonite.
Robust, wear-resistant, and lightweight dirty water pump with agitator for pumping sandy rainwater, groundwater, or dirty water. The ideal construction pump for draining construction sites.
- Immersion depth up to 30 m
- Safe continuous operation with up to 3 % solids content
- Liquid temperature max. 40 °C
- Protection class IP68
- Thermal motor protection
- Water lowering up to 90 mm
Squalo – AdBlue® (urea)
Submersible pump for urea (AUS32) AdBlue®
This submersible pump is the first of its kind—specifically designed and tested for AdBlue® dispensing systems.
The integrated centrifugal pump is equipped with a turbine regenerator with check valve and a built-in innovative pressure control system that optimizes flow performance. The compact size and special pump design allow for easy installation and almost complete emptying of the designated installation tank.
The special SUBLOCK connection system is available on request. This allows, for example, pressure lines, power supply, level indicators, and flow meters to be connected via a central point. It is therefore a practical mounting system that prevents possible transport damage to the tank and the installed pump, as it limits movement- or vibration-related impacts.
It is designed to be compatible with the main tanks available on the market and allows suction up to a liquid level of 30 mm.
Features:
- Check valve
- Innovative integrated pressure control system
- Shut-off timer
- 5 m cable, without plug
- Protection class IP68, operating mode S1
VELO UP – Flat suction for clear water
Wastewater pump for domestic applications
Flat suction submersible pump with vertical pressure outlet, automatic or manual operation possible, with removable filter (for suction operation up to 2-3 mm). Thanks to flat suction technology, liquids can be sucked up almost completely. The adjustment sliders on the probes allow the pump's switch-on point to be adjusted (automatic operation).
This expands the installation options accordingly. The vertical pressure outlet and electronic floats make the VELO UP an ideal pump for use in small boreholes. Integrated thermal protection switch and capacitor.
