How do rotary vane and reciprocating piston pumps work?
Our hand pumps are used when low-viscosity liquids such as diesel, heating oil, or AdBlue® need to be pumped quickly, easily, and without electricity. Depending on the model, they are based on different pumping principles:
- Vane pumps operate with rotating vanes that convey the medium evenly – ideal for consistent flow rates with low power consumption.
- Reciprocating pumps use a linear motion in which fluid is conveyed by an up-and-down movement – robust and effective, especially for vertical conveyance from barrels.
Both variants are characterized by their high reliability, low maintenance requirements, and ease of operation.
