For a wide range of applications in the chemical sector
ACOSTAR pumps are high-quality plastic impeller pumps for applications involving oxidizing, reducing, and mixed acids.
The ACOSTAR impeller pump is the ideal pump for chemical applications thanks to the use of PTFE, high-quality shaft seals, and impellers made of FPM/FKM (Viton®) or EPDM. It is suitable for oxidizing, reducing, and mixed acids. Dry running of the pump is prevented by the use of effective dry run protection (only for 230/400V). Various motor variants are available (230 V, 400 V, 12 V, 24 V; 1,400 rpm, 2,800 rpm; 50 Hz, 60 Hz). On request, the speed and direction of rotation can be adjusted accordingly using a frequency converter (optional).
The pump shaft of the ACOSTAR is made of Hastelloy® C-22. This material offers good resistance to media such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, nitric acid, chlorine gas, acid mixtures with sulfuric acid, and oxidizing acids with chloride ions. In the presence of strong oxidizing agents such as iron(III) and copper(II) chlorides, chlorine, formic acid, acetic acid, seawater, and other salt solutions, the use of this material is recommended after clarification of the environmental conditions. A special feature of this alloy is its high resistance to crevice, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking at elevated temperatures under oxidizing and reducing conditions.
The star handles for quick and easy impeller replacement and the ceramic side plates for protecting the pump covers are fitted as standard. The newly developed pump bracket allows the pump to be easily separated from the motor for servicing.
Only liquids that are compatible with PTFE (TEFLON®) and FPM/FKM (VITON®) or EPDM can be pumped!
The maximum flow rate is between 14 and 28 l/min, depending on the model.
